Abel Jones
My name is Abel Jones.
I grew up in the wild, beautiful surroundings of Juneau, Alaska.
This is where my passion for photography started. Playing around with my fathers film camera and enjoying what Alaska had to offer.
With so much beautiful scenery just outside my doorstep, it was impossible to not want to capture .
Being in the serene and sometimes hostile outdoors while hiking, kayaking, camping and exploring, just wouldn’t make sense
without a camera in hand to capture the moment, wildlife, scene, or to preserve a memory to share with family and friends.
After school, I moved to Hawaii. I lived there for a few years, working, playing, investing in better equipment and improving my skills.
Wanting to expand my horizons, I started traveling and living abroad. I visited and lived in amazing locations meeting with a variety of personalities,
cultures and experiences. I was able to capture many of those sites and experiences for you and others to see. I really dove into the art
of landscape and travel photography. and eventually weddings elopements,couples, portraits,There’s something about being so far from home. Far from what you’re comfortable with.
Hearing new languages, seeing new colors, landscapes and new smells. I was learning, capturing and observing culture so different from my own.
Climbing mountains and camping on the peak to grab that shot of Northern lights, or deep in the back country where the only thing you .
To the beaches of Hawaii locking in those moments of time of that special day
Sometimes, just sharing a coffee or a meal with a local,or a drink on that beautiful wedding day. All memories I will treasure for a lifetime.
I want to share these fond memories of the wonderful people, places, scenery, and the emotions I felt while with amazing people,
their cultures, and the endless beauty of their homelands and our world. I sincerely hope that through viewing my pictures, that you are
able to feel like you are there and experience what I felt while living the adventure.
